Today Miss Jones' class celebrated the 100th day of school! The students completed a writing activity about what their lives would be like at 100, and created a list of 100 acts of kindness as a class.




Miss Jones' class would like to thank Jazzy Palmer, Parsons High School Senior, for coming to read to the class for World Read Aloud Day. Jazzy will be pursuing a degree in elementary education at the University of Kansas following her graduation from Parsons High School.

Mrs. Clara Killingsworth surprised Mr. Holmes' class with Kansas Day cookies! (Not only was it Kansas' birthday, but it was Mrs. Killingsworths birthday, too!) They were the perfect treat to end our day. Thank you, thank you!

Mr. Holmes' class used macaroni noodles to add commas and quotation marks to sentences containing dialogue.



Help us celebrate Parsons Super Bowl Spirit Week next week....Kansas City Chiefs will have played in 4 of the past 5 Super Bowls.

Geraldo Francisco-Pedro passed Otter Creek Multiplication in Mrs. Smith’s intervention group! He worked very hard every day to achieve this goal!

LCC celebrates its 100th birthday at Guthridge!

Students in Mr. Holmes' class and Mrs. Gordon's class earned a slush party today for finishing all of their monthly IXL skills. Congratulations to those who made it!!!







Students in Life Skills learned about warm and cool colors and how these colors occur during a volcanic eruption. Mrs. Shields then showed students an art technique that splatters paint onto the paper to create the effect of an eruption. 🌋





Mr. Holmes' classes finished reading chapter 4 of Harry Potter. To celebrate, they enjoyed a large, sticky chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday Harry" written on it in green icing, just like the one Harry received in the chapter 4!
