Mrs. Fishers class worked extra hard on class expectations and earned a pizza party lunch. We had a special visitor all the way from the University of Nebraska make the delivery! Thanks Ayden for coming to eat lunch with us!

Mrs. Good's class has been learning about the eye and how we are able to see. We learned that things that illuminate we can see, otherwise light has to reflect off of it in order for us to see it. If light is unable to pass through an object, then it will make a shadow. So, we had fun tracing each other's shadows with sidewalk chalk today!!!
Mr. Holmes' class ended their unit on eyesight with learning how light determines how and when our pupil contracts and opens!
Mrs. Shields' class wrapped up our vision unit by exploring how our eyes work! Students built their own working “eye model” using magnifying lenses to represent the cornea. They had so much fun discovering how the structure of the eye helps us see, & why vision problems happen.🤓

Mr. Holmes' class learned about the 5 senses. We used Pop Rocks candy to identify descriptive characteristics using each of our senses. We also created a knowledge map of what we learned from our experiment and from our informational text.
After learning about mixtures and solutions, students in Mrs. Brimm's class created a mixture and a solution. They then explained the difference between the two to their classmates.
While reviewing mixtures and solutions, students in Mrs. Brimm's class got their exercise on! If students thought the substance was a mixture, they did jumping jacks. If they thought it was a solution, they did cross crawls. They had fun!
Mr. Holmes' students created their own models of the eye to learn how our pupils let in light to help us see!
Three amazing students from Mrs. Brimm's class earned positive office referrals for their hard work and willingness to help classmates. These three are rockstars!
