Parsons USD 503 welcomes Jesus Medina to the district.
Medina will be teaching second grade at Garfield School.
He is attending Wichita State and will graduate in May with his bachelor’s in education.
“This is my sixth year teaching. Before this I was teaching preschool in Coffeyville. I have worked for USD 445 and Boys & Girls of Coffeyville for 12 years. I also volunteer at Labette Community College as the co-advisor of the Tau Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. In my free time I like to go on walks, listen to music and watch sports," Mr. Medina said.
“Some hopes and goals for my students are for them to enjoy school and know that they are smart and capable of doing anything," he said.
