A flyer announcing the need for bus drivers and monitors.

Parsons USD 503 has a sudden significant need for bus drivers for regular routes and

activity routes, and is actively hiring. Bus monitors are needed as well.

The district is offering benefits like paid training for a Commercial Driver's License

(CDL), good hourly rates, health insurance, part-time schedules and summers off.

This is a strong opportunity for those seeking stable work with community impact, even

without prior commercial driving experience.

This is an excellent employment opportunity for those looking to make a little extra

income, without having to commit to a full-time job with a demanding work schedule.

Pay is $12 an hour while training and $16.75 an hour once drivers have acquired their

CDL. All drivers are guaranteed at least two hours pay when they are called in, or are

working a shift, regardless of if a route takes less time.

This is a great job for stay-at-home moms, as they can bring their preschooler on their

route with them and not have to worry about costly childcare to be able to work.

Split-shifts allow for accomplishing many other things throughout the day.

Those applying are required to have a valid driver’s license, must be able to pass a

physical exam (which is paid for), have a strong safety focus and be able to work with

children.
