Two Neodesha students visited with PHS robotics students Friday concerning difficulties they are having operating a small robotic dog their school purchased. PHS students have some background experience, given USD 503 purchased a large robotic dog a couple of years ago.






It was a fun night at the Parsons Christmas Parade! The middle and high school bands had great participation & cheer and dance brought the spirit!





National Honor Society volunteered in two capacities this week. On Thursday students helped SKIL set up for their annual meeting, and Friday members assisted with the Stella Wells Christmas Tree Auction event preparations.





Three workers from Heck & Wicker Construction built wood forms in which concrete will be poured Monday to create concrete bases for the iron colonnade Parsons High School students are building for the Five Pathways to Freedom Veterans Memorial. Students will build the colonnade at the school, then take it apart and reassemble it on site at the Parsons Municipal Building when the rest of the memorial is being completed. PHS students helped design the memorial for which fundraising is still in progress.

We would like to thank everyone who donated and everyone that bought tickets. It was a very successfully fundraiser and we couldn't have done it without you. Thanks to everyone's generosity the members of Viking Coalition will be headed to Tankanyika Wildlife Park this spring for an unforgettable field trip! They all worked hard to make it happen.




Students in Mrs Helton's class participated in a fun game where they had to get the fastest time knocking cotton balls off of cups with a party blower. The fastest time was under 8 seconds!








Students in Mrs Helton's class created halo paintings of leaves as part of their Thanksgiving celebration.






The debate team traveled to Topeka high school on Friday for a taste of "big circuit" KS debate (5A/6A) competition. The high school is quite the building. 3 rounds today and 2 on Sat. Cafeteria, library and teacher's cafeteria photos.




Thank you to the individuals who participated in the PHS recent graduates Q&A panel today, Monday, November 25th. Topics pertaining to the transition from high school to college and/or the workforce were discussed with current PHS juniors and seniors. It was fun and informative!




Horticulture students have started on Fridays to cook and eat the things they grow in class, making a different dish each week. This week they cooked chicken breasts, chopped a few veggies and hard boiled eggs and mixed it with the lettuce and swiss chard they grew.
