PHS PROM 2024
Saturday April 13th
Walk In: PHS Auditorium 6:30. Attendees lined up by 6:20 p.m. Enter through east doors by aux gym.
Prom/Dance: Parsons Conference Center. Students must be at conference center by 7:30. Doors shut at 7:30. Students will not be allowed re-entry.
Varsity Golf at Pittsburg has been canceled for today.
Due to poor field conditions, Baseball and Softball games scheduled for today at home have been moved to Chanute. Games start at 4:30 at Santa Fe Park.

FYI: If a Tornado Warning is issued for Parsons this evening the storm shelters at Garfield and Guthridge will be open, the storm shelter at Lincoln will not be open.
Students in Amanda Lowe's biology class are learning about the anatomy of frogs to help them understand how organ systems function in a complex organism. Students can then correlate the information to find similarities in humans.
Students in Alyssa Shields advanced graphic design class are working on designing customized senior yard signs for our soon-to-be graduates. The yard signs have become a tradition.
The Parsons High School Library has much more to offer students than all its fabulous books. Librarian Robie Martin sets out a few robots that students can learn to code to operate. Students can also enjoy games of chess, puzzles, games, and more.
Students in Mary Friess' health class created working robot hand models using glue, paper, cardboard, straws, string, pencil, tape and scissors. The fun STEAM project helps demonstrate how the skeletal structure of an actual human hand works.
Sports Postponed:
Softball today has been moved to 4/5, V/JV at Forest Park, Parsons.
Baseball today has been moved to 4/25, Varsity double-header at Pittsburg.
JV Tennis has been postponed, makeup date to be decided.
Parsons High School students had the opportunity to tour Magnum Systems Monday, learn about their operations and the types of jobs that exist in that company, which designs and manufactures robotic systems to handle and package a variety of materials for other companies.
