PHS has some very talented and hardworking students! After all the Valentines Day orders at the beginning of the week, Culinary students and FCCLA members ended the week just as busy! Students were able to help choose and create a diverse dessert menu for the Curious Minds Benefit this weekend! They even considered the chore of usually having to cut and disperse desserts and chose to do individual desserts to make serving easier for the Benefit.
Students created the following dessert menu!

Parsons High School Woodworking/Drafting/Engineering students competed in Pinewood Derby races against Ducommun employees today! Among high schoolers, Noah McIntosh won best aesthetics and Marion Ryan won best overall. Well done everyone and congratulations!

Viking Congress did well tonight in Chanute. Armitage and Pontious both took 1st place in their houses. Taliaffero, Aita, Palmer, and Martinez all finished within the top 8 of their houses. Great job Vikes!


The art department hit the road again this morning for a second trip to Crystal Bridges. Always new things to learn, see, and experience. March first, it will be Mrs Fabrycky's middle schoolers' opportunity to experience this amazing place.





Summer Pommier and Karen Riddle, engineers from Ducommun, visited PHS chemistry and physics classes today to celebrate engineering week and demonstrate a chemical milling of titanium. Students were able to create a design on a titanium coupon by reacting it with hydrofluoric acid





There will be no school on Monday, February 20th for Presidents' Day!
